The couple can either choose to mix a glass of white wine together with red to create a blush that they both drink from or alternatively, they can be a pouring of one glass that they both will drink from. Note: You may wish to use other drinks, I would recommend choosing those which you both enjoy together.

During the ceremony, the couple place letters for each other along with special mementos, maybe a bottle of their favourite wine, together in a box. They will then vow not to open the box until an anniversary of their choice.

The couple can choose to present roses to the mothers or grandmothers as a way of showing appreciation of their support. Alternatively, the roses can also be the first gift that the couple will give each other.

Guests are given a stone on which they write their name and a promise. These stones are collected and placed in a series of jars so the stones can be seen and remembered.

The hands are tied with ribbons or cloths in the shape of the infinity symbol to represent the bringing together of two hearts in a union of strength and unity forever. This is taken from the Celtic and Pagan tradition of “tying the knot”.

Taken from an ancient Celtic tradition of ‘setting an oath in stone’, the idea is that holding the stone whilst saying vows ‘sets the vows in stone’.

Symbolising the joining of the couple, particularly good when there are young children involved and the couple are looking to involve them.

Each guest writes a thought or message to the couple on a label / tag. This is then hung on a stylised tree or placed in a jar as a memento of the day.

Symbolising the joining of the couple in marriage and the joining of their families. The couple’s close relatives can light their individual lanterns for them as a symbol to show they are moving on from their family to create a new family together.

Based upon tradition, this symbolises the clearing away of negativity with a sweep of the broom and creates a threshold for the couple to cross over into their new life together.

A bespoke element made just for you. If there is something unique that you would like to take place, we can work together to make your day as special as you are.

Additional costs are to be agreed prior to the ceremony, including, but not limited to include travel, accommodation if required, and fancy dress or themed material including costumes.
